Help & safety

Safety guidance, how credits work, and reporting.

A few safety habits
  • • Meet in a public place, or where neighbours can see you.
  • • Never share your exact address in a request: only give the approximate area.
  • • For heavy items or tool use, be honest about your abilities and ask for help if needed.
  • • Your contact details are only visible after an offer is accepted — and only if you choose to share them.
  • • If anything goes wrong, report it: an administrator will help resolve the dispute.

Help! cannot guarantee any member's identity or reliability: stay careful and report any problem.

Credits, made simple

  • • 1 credit offered when you create your account.
  • • Publishing a request costs 1 credit, charged only when published.
  • • A service confirmed by the requester earns the volunteer 1 credit.
  • • Cancellation before a volunteer is accepted: credit refunded automatically.
  • • Cancellation after acceptance: the credit is frozen and an admin mediates in case of disagreement.
  • • Your balance can never go negative.
  • • Purchased credits are not transferable and cannot be converted to money.

Report a problem

No-show, disputed cancellation, inappropriate behaviour… Describe the situation: an admin can refund or grant the credits involved.
